Websites as systems, not just pages.
I’m especially interested in healthcare and service businesses, where a website often connects to something real — scheduling, records, or follow-up. The handoffs between the site and those systems are where much of the experience is shaped.
What the business needs, who it serves, and what's actually getting in the way.
How the site is organised, and the path someone takes to the thing they came for.
How it reads, feels, and behaves — on a laptop and on a phone in a waiting room.
The simplest implementation that stays fast and can be maintained after launch.
What counts as working, defined before launch rather than guessed at afterwards.
What real usage says, and what changes in the next round because of it.

I’m Jason. I design and build websites for businesses in West Michigan and beyond — and I own the outcome, not just the markup.
The work runs from the business problem through the user journey, architecture, design, build, integrations, and measurement. Increasingly that means directing AI-assisted implementation — which raises the standard rather than lowering it.
Outside of my day-to-day work, jasonm.dev is where I document what I’m building, experimenting with, and learning.
